New working experience gained yez & today! A frontend job which i was really scared at first because for the past few jobs i had, they are backend jobs where there wasn't much interaction with customers. Initially, i thought i was going to work as a cleaner at Singapore Turf Club in the white long sleeve shirt with black skirt. Just need to clear utensils etc, simple task ma... so i agreed. However, it turned out to be a waitress! Besides clearing those utensils etc, i ought to take drink orders from the guests. Ahh!!! I never ever thought tt i could hold the tray with glasses/plates on it. Very scary esp. for a newbie like me. Trying to ensure tt the glasses/plates or even the tray don't topple off. 1st day was ok but 2nd day was bad. Toppled 1 glass of sprite... luckily it was on my shirt and just a minor case. Heng ah. Afterall, nice but tiring experience i had and it wasn't easy to be a waitress! Memory must be good, being efficient and arms/legs must be strong too! Haha. In addition, i could see how a race was like and how big SG Turf Club is, e.g. the underpasses which made me v.confuse. Luckily, my cousin was working with me so it wasn't v.boring and i think we bonded abit. XD
Last Sun, we had our clique chalet. For once, i attended a chalet w/o BBQ^ing which turned out to be fun too! Besides watching the Cai Hua Hen Yi Chu Xin Xiu, we played the blind mice which Des Teo introduced to us. 1 of us wld be blindfolded and 'catch' us the lights off which means we couldn't really see the 'catcher' too except when the person flashing the lights on the 'catcher'. The exciting and fun part was when we, 'the normal ppl', cheated. Hiding in the toilet and resting on the bed which we weren't supposed to. Thus, the 'catcher' had a hard time catching us. Haha. The night ended with some ghost stories and some chit-chats before most of us dozed off. The next morning, some of us cycled and the rest went to stroll at the park while waiting for our 1 hr of cycling to be up. It's fun & cooling esp. when there's breeze blowing against you! A relaxing & enjoyable chalet indeed! Thanks Lilian! (:
